My Weekly Favorite List...

Wow, this week has been filled with treats and now that the "love" day is over, don't forget that there are a few treats that can be enjoyed all-year-round! It looks like the winter has snuck in for a quick arrival just when we were ready to break out the shorts and swimsuits. Never fear, I don't think it's here to stay but hopefully this week "Friday Favorites" will help you pass the time. Let me know if you have a favorite that you'd like me to pass along, I love being your Realtor with the resources!

1.)Urban Air Trampoline Park

I mean seriously, I don't think there is a better place to keep the kids occupied in this season of cold rainy weather than a trampoline park; however, Urban Air is so much more than just a trampoline park! Virtual reality, climbing walls, ropes course and so much more. This week's recommendation comes from a trusted Mom of 4, so I think we can safely say that it is "Mom Approved"!  Let me know what you think, I know it's on our activity list to get through the next few cold days.

2.) Netgear - Orbi Mesh Network System

I've detailed over the last few weeks some of the home changes that we have been attacking, most of which require a good home network system. I can honestly say after a few weeks that I am really glad we switched to this Orbi Mesh Network system by Netgear. While I would love to be a home networking expert, I am absolutely NOT, so luckily Nic from Best Buy in Mooresville was able to expertly guide me in this direction. It was simple to set up and the parental control features have already been put to good use. This was a needed upgrade as we continue to add additional wireless features such as the Ring systems and Sonos Sound system so I'm super happy with it so far!

3.) Childress Vineyards

This year 18 neighborhood ladies decided to venture out for a "Galentine's Day" treat to Childress Vineyards. Opened in 2004 by NASCAR team owner Richard Childress, features 72 acres of vineyards and is quickly become one of the state's premier wineries. Located in Lexington, North Carolina and about a 45-minute drive from Mooresville, NC it was certainly a great day trip to enjoy. My favorite was the sparkling chardonnay which was a surprise to me! You also don't want to miss the delicious food served at the Bistro which is temporarily being served in the Pavillion while they undergo renovations. The Shrimp and Grits were some of the best I have ever had which says a lot from a southern Louisiana girl.

4) SmallCakes

Located at 591 River Hwy in Mooresville, SmallCakes is certainly earning a place near my heart and I'm not even a dessert lover! These bite-sized gourmet cupcake treats are fresh baked daily with the most delicious whipped icing I have ever had. They even have a vegan option, which I have not tried, mainly because I am completely in love with the wedding cake flavor. I should mention that they also have homemade ice cream but so far I haven't made it beyond the cupcake so please let me know what you think of the other delicious flavors that you try.
